Oh my stars, where is spring!? Or better yet, spring break!

Well, we have had enough of sickness and cold. Layla is finally starting to feel better. She has had strep. Lila is finally feeling good and so am I (after a round of antibiotics for each of us).

We are so ready to enjoy some warm weather and some outside. Big sister has gotten a lot of attention lately. She has felt like poo and we have all been doting on her. But, the little stinker will not be out done! She pulls up to where ever we are and mean mugs, claps, waves, says "hi-dy"... whatever gets her some attention.

And of course, we all pay attention. :)

Layla is playing baseball (first practice is today, so we will see if she can hang). Wish us luck!

Sister when she was sick. She just couldn't get enough rest.

I love spaghetti and my little toothie!

Oh cuteness!

Bathtime fun! "Let's give Lila a princess skirt mom!" She looks a bit Scottish, but good fun!
 Ohhhh momma! I love bubbles!

Mean Muggin' Machine

I realize it is time to catch up on the blog posts! I'm sorry dear readers, motherhood and work keep me busy. Have I mentioned that I teach high school English? I am currently teaching To Kill a Mockingbird. It is a lovely read, it never gets old. The kids are actuallly enjoying it. (What? Are you serious?) Yes, I am!

Anywho, Lila has a new "thing". She started it while we were in Disney World (I'll post about that too!) in January. She "mean mugs" people. It is hilarious!

When she gives the "mean mug" (which I will illustrate below), it always gets her an applause. ALWAYS. Be there one person in the room or ten, EVERYONE claps when she mean mugs. It is quite a scene.

But, now, the mean mug is displayed to unknowing folks in public. An applause is expected, and people are confused. Lila will mean mug a nurse (last week), she will mean mug innocent folks at the restaurant, the list goes on. And then she will smile and clap expecting them to do the same. People are like, "Why is this baby giving me dirty looks and applauding?"

We explain what's up and what do people do? You better believe it, they GET TO CLAPPING! It is irresistible.

The child is amazing.

Love this photo!

Is this not the cutest thing!?

I realize that I post an insane number of pictures but I can't stop myself!

Well, November has started and is already halfway over. We have been busy preparing for the holidays, birthdays, and various other happenings.
Layla loves school and it is so fun to see her sound everything out. She spells words in the cutest way. Special-speshool, Why-wiy. Oh, I just love it.
Lila is unstoppable! That baby is crawling 90 mph and is into everything! She has been pulling up for a few weeks. She started signing "more" on Saturday, November 10.

Signing "more"

I know it is sideways, I'm tired of trying to correct it!

Enjoying Sissy's playroom

Sarah and I painted Layla's playroom last weekend. I know the picture is sideways. Once again, I refuse to fight with this computer for two hours!

Lila's pet, Daisy. She is more interested in Daisy than any toy or person!

And by the way, I don't have many pictures of Layla. Why, you ask? She won't slow down long enough for a photo! She is always busy!

Random October

Here are a few random October memories:

Shana and I in our matching Halloween shirts

Lila and Prissy sorting Buddy Walk tshirts.

Lila snoozing with her daddy.
And to end this post, in the words of my friend, Courtney: "Finally a cute duck face!"

The Pumpkin Patch and HALLOWEEN

We went to the Pumpking Patch this month. It was outside Sikeston, MO. The girls had fun and so did we.

It was lovely weather and we came home with three lovely pumpkins to paint.

Here are some pictures from Halloween.
This first one is of Lila in one of her Halloween outfits.

Sisters playing

The next few pictures are of the girls on Halloween. They enjoyed game night at our church. They were both dressed as Rapunzel.

Lila with her protectors, Bryx and Gabe

Trick or treating at Nanny's house

Lila's first Halloween was fun. She enjoyed watching her sister and hanging out with her friends at church.
